McWong’s TruBlu™ Interoperable Bluetooth-Zhaga-DALI Controls Selected as 2021 Sapphire Awards Finalist

Sacramento, Calif. June 25, 2021—McWong International, a leading innovator in Bluetooth® mesh technology, was shortlisted as a finalist for the 2021 Sapphire Awards competition, as announced by LEDs Magazine on June 23, 2021. The company’s TruBlu interoperable Bluetooth-Zhaga-DALI controls earned this recognition in the Smart and Connected SSL Enabling Technologies category.

DLC-certified TruBlu Bluetooth-Zhaga-DALI controls deliver unprecedented interoperability. Featuring compliance with D4i specifications and Zhaga Book 20, the devices enable advanced intra-luminaire integration for highly flexible communication capabilities. Building on McWong’s software-driven, SIG-qualified TruBlu Bluetooth mesh platform, the controls combine advanced interoperability with advanced control capabilities via smartphone app, including daylight harvesting, high-end trim, zoning, continuous dimming, scheduled or occupancy based ON/OFF control, color tuning, and energy monitoring.

Stephen Zhou, McWong Vice President, notes, “We continue to demonstrate our commitment to building out the most comprehensive interoperable control platform available in the marketplace today. This offers customers and lighting professionals alike the greatest flexibility, combining the freedom of best-of-breed selection from multiple vendors with app-based control. We’re honored to receive this recognition.”

Each year, LEDs Magazine recognizes advances in performance and engineering of SSL components and systems in the commercial distribution stream. Launched in 2014, the Sapphire Awards program has honored innovators and product developments that have advanced LED-centric SSL components, systems, and applications into the mainstream, and have promoted performance and capabilities beyond traditional light sources. 2021 Awards winners will be recognized in August

during the virtual Strategies in Light conference (Aug. 24–25, 2021).
