Engage in R&D for new generation LED Drivers. Operate computer-assisted engineering tools to perform detailed calculations, establish manufacturing, installation standards and specifications, selection/application of new generation IC’s and related electronic components. Engage in R&D for convergence of LED & Controls/Sensors. Testing of drivers, sensors and related electrical products/components, compile data and write reports regarding existing or potential electrical engineering studies or projects. Design electrical systems or components that minimize electric energy requirements, such as lighting systems designed to account for natural lighting. Engage in R&D for LED Array + Driver modules Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Interface as necessary with external compliance agencies & industry standards. Work with Engineers from UL, ETL, CSA, CE, NEC, etc. to ensure product safety and compliance. Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements. Solid State Design for manufacturability & reliability. Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget. Estimate labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes. Design Firmware/Software development for Wireless Sensor products. Interface various wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Zigbee, 6LoWPAN, Wi-FI etc…) with IR, Microwave and Ultrasonic sensors using computer-assisted engineering software tools. Provide support and training for our technical sales team. Interface with customer engineering teams in support of sales efforts. Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products. Investigate customer or public complaints to determine the nature and extent of problems.
